The strong economy, positive unemployment forecasts and steady growth in payrolls strengthens Charlotte home buyer confidence. Meanwhile, the Charlotte housing inventory continues to shrink. Yet, despite this, Charlotte pending home sales in May, 2018 are 9.7% higher than they were in May 2017, according to a summary written by Jenna Martin, Associate Editor/Online of Charlotte Business Journal, citing the Charlotte Regional Realtor® Association’s monthly report.
They expect the competition for Charlotte homes for sale to continue to grow. Charlotte homes inventory right now will stay on the market for a length that is 24.1% lower than they did in 2017. Plus, sellers keep getting more money for their homes. The current median sales price for Charlotte area homes is $245,000. That’s nearly a 10% gain over this time last year, according to reported data.
