October Events in Charlotte, NC: Through October 7
October 5: Views & Vows, A Fall Wedding Show
Held at the Holiday Inn Center City, Views & Vows is the place to be when you’re planning your wedding. The event is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and admission is free for brides and grooms. (For other guests, admission is $5 at the door.) Park in the Wake Forest Parking Deck adjacent to the hotel and enjoy meeting some of Charlotte’s best wedding service providers.
October 6: NASCAR Hall of Fame Tour
Just outside Charlotte, in Concord, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is hosting an amazing tour on October 6. Admission is $49 per adult and $39 for kids aged 3 to 13. The tour lasts approximately 5 hours, so bring your walking shoes (and a car seat if you have little ones).
October 6: 4th Annual Charlotte Cider Festival
The 4th annual Charlotte Cider Festival is taking place on Rooftop 210 at the Epicentre at 210 East Trade Street in Charlotte. Admission is between $10 and $25, and it’s open to adults (21 and up) only.
October 7: Disney On Ice Presents Frozen
Admission gets you a great view of the fabulous Disney On Ice cast performing as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven. There’s singing, skating, and tons of fun – and the performance starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Spectrum Center.
October 7: Hola Charlotte Festival
At the corner of North Tryon Street at West Trade Street in Uptown Charlotte, you’ll find the Hola Charlotte Festival on October 7 between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. This richly cultural festival includes nationally recognized entertainers, food, dance, and art, and it’s fun for the whole family.
October 7: 6th Annual Literary Festival of Charlotte
Held at the Little Rock Cultural Center, the 6th Annual Literary Festival of Charlotte has a theme of “Empowering Communities Through Art and Literature.” Admission is free, and the event runs between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Storytelling, songs and dancing, drumming, and author readings will round out the day with book vendors, artisans, and food trucks.
October 7: Dirty Dozen Obstacle Adventure Race
The 6th annual Dirty Dozen Obstacle Adventure Race is happening at the U.S. National Whitewater Center at 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway in Charlotte on October 7. If you pre-register, admission is $40. Same-day registration is $50.
